Sunday, June 14, 2009 ( Celebrations @ 11:40 PM ) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. Revelation 21:1, ESV Today, my brother brought our family out for dinner followed by a closing ceremony of an arts festival at Yishun. The highlights of the show was the fireworks. It was a nice firework, much to my parents and brother's enjoyment. However grand and nice the celebration was, i was constantly reminded of the more grand, more nice, more purposefully celebration that will happen in the future for all christian. As I watched the show, i ponder about how in heaven the celebration will be like. How much more glorious and majestic that will be. What an eager expectation for all Christians to look forward to, when we can see God face to face and worship and glorify Him. In thinking of this however, i'm also reminded about how evil and sinful man can be. I remember a scene from a war film, where the person said that when they were under artillery attacks, it reminded them of their interdependence day, where normally lots and lots of fireworks will be displayed.
